About NACAC
The North Augusta Cultural Arts Council was founded in 1996 to promote the development of arts programs in North Augusta. To date we have:

  • Music in the Park
    Sponsored the Music in the Park summer concert series, a group of 6-8 performances running from May through July. These are held in Maude Edenfield Park adjacent to the Community Center and are free.

 

  • Special Classroom Arts Project Grants
    Provides grants to teachers in the area schools to enhance arts programs for North Augusta students. 2008 Grant Recipients

 

  • Colonial Days
    Sponsored a musician, a potter, and a story teller at the annual “Colonial Days to Remember” encampment.

 

  • Street Banners
    Created art banners to hang on Georgia Ave. New banners are being created for the Centennial Celebration in 2006.

 

  • Supported arts shows for adults and students.

 

 

  • Co-sponsored a Quilt Show

 

  • Supported a local Artists Guild

 

  • Sponsored an artists workshop

 

  • Started an annual Veteran’s Day Concert to honor area veterans featuring Savannah River Winds.
