2010 Fine Arts Scholarship Winner
2010 Fine Arts Scholar | Art Scholarships
Tiana Lavan is the 2010 recipient of the North Augusta Cultural Arts Council (NACAC) Fine Arts Scholarship. Tiana graduated from North Augusta High School where she was a member of the National Art Honor Society and a member of the Teen Advisory Council which is affiliated with the Morris Museum of Art. Tiana will attend Winthrop University in the fall and major in Visual Communication Art with an emphasis on Graphic Design.

The NACAC Fine Arts Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who resides in the Aiken County Area II School District that demonstrates excellence in an art form. The recipient must intend to enroll in an accredited college, university, or other institution of formal education in the fall of 2010 to pursue continued training in the respective art discipline.

The scholarship was initiated in 2008 and is funded by Powerserve and the NACAC.
NACAC Fine Arts Scholarship
The North Augusta Cultural Arts Council (NACAC) Fine Arts Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior. The NACAC was initiated in 1997 as a group of local citizens who support artists and arts organizations by sponsoring projects that enhance the arts in the North Augusta community. The Fine Arts scholarship was initiated in 2008 and is funded by PowerServe and the NACAC.

The Scholarship applicant must reside in the Aiken County Area II School District and attend high school (public, private, charter, or home school). He or she must demonstrate excellence in an art form. Eligible applicants must intend to enroll in an accredited college, university, or other institution of formal education in the fall of 2010 to pursue continued training in the respective art discipline.

All applications are reviewed by a Scholarship Panel which is comprised of members of the North Augusta Cultural Arts Council Board of Directors. Demonstrated talent is the primary criterion for selection.

Application deadline is Thursday, April 1, 2010. The Fine Arts Scholarship winner will be announced during the first Music in the Park Concert. Scholarship applicants are invited to attend this May concert for announcement of the winner.
